Grounding and protecting my energy has become one of the most important practices in my life as an empath.
As a highly sensitive and empathetic person, I used to absorb other people’s moods, emotions, and energy without even realizing it. It often felt like I was carrying their weight inside my own body — leaving me overwhelmed, drained, anxious, and completely off centre. Sometimes it even spiraled me into depressive states.
And because we’re constantly interacting, working, and sharing space with others, it’s incredibly easy to let external energies shape our internal world.
One of the most supportive questions I ask myself regularly is:
“Is this mine?
Is what I’m feeling actually mine… or someone else’s?”
It’s simple, but profoundly clarifying.
Let your body answer. Let your intuition speak.
This is the heart of energetic protection — returning to your centre, reclaiming your sovereignty, and learning how to stay rooted in your frequency, regardless of what’s happening around you.
